Nominations for Election

Directors and Regional Reps represent growers in their respective regions. As such, to be eligible to become a Director or Regional Rep, individuals must be an AWC member, meaning that they have remitted payment to AWC on commercial wheat sales in either the current or previous two fiscal years, and they must grow wheat in the region in which they wish to be nominated.

The Director-at-Large represents the interests and perspectives of wheat growers across the province. To be eligible to be nominated as Director-at-Large, producers must be an AWC member and they must grow wheat in one of the five AWC regions.

Nomination forms for all positions must be signed by at least three eligible producers from within the nominee’s region, and be accompanied by the written consent of the eligible producer who is being nominated as a Director or Regional Representative in that region.

This fall we will be accepting nominations for two Directors and three Regional Reps in Regions 2 and 4.

Elections for these positions will take place at AWC’s Next Level Farming events, scheduled on November 15 in Acme for region 2 and November 23 in Viking for region 4. More information about these events can also be found on our events page.

Regional Meetings - Next Level Farming 

AWC’s Next Level Farming events are held in regional locations across the province each fall. Next Level Farming events are organized by each region's Directors and Regional Reps to provide producers with information about AWC and to allow eligible producers the opportunity to provide input into AWC business. Next Level Farming meetings are also held to conduct elections of Directors and Regional Reps as necessary. Visit our events page for dates and locations of this year’s Next Level Farming events.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

At the AGM, eligible wheat producers have the opportunity to learn more about AWC's work over the past year as well as participate in an open forum on resolutions brought forward during the Next Level Farming events.
